Trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Trinidad and Tobago
The structure of bilateral trade demonstrates the potential for further expansion and diversification of trade between the two countries.
According to the State Statistics Agency of Ukraine, in 2014 Ukrainian exports of goods to Trinidad and Tobago amounted to $286,300 USD, imports – to $59,500 USD.
The spheres wherein the development of bilateral economic cooperation with Trinidad and Tobago is seen as particularly promising include: export of Ukrainian agricultural products (crops), processed products and food, establishing relations in the mining and smelting sector as well as in the chemical industry, and cooperation in the sphere of finance.
In addition, promoting the economic interests of Ukraine within the framework of bilateral cooperation with Trinidad and Tobago is also considered important in the context of positive influence on the further development of economic cooperation with other countries of the region, especially with the members of CARICOM.
