Zeppelin Ukraine (the official dealer of American company Caterpillar in Ukraine) plans in the second quarter of 2013 to launch the largest production and technical facilities in the CIS for the repair and maintenance of Caterpillar components. Volume of investments in the center is estimated at about $6.5 million.
The component repair center will be built on the territory of the Yerystovsky mining and processing facility (GOK) in Komsomolsk in Poltava region. The center will employ 60 mechanics. The location of the center was chosen because of the strong relations between Ukrainian company Ferrexpo and Zeppelin Ukraine. At present, Zeppelin Ukraine has 14 large service centers in Kyiv, Donetsk, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Kherson. However, the new center will be the only one of this type in Ukraine.
