Certificate of Absence of Criminal Record
Documents regarding the request for documents must be submitted in person, by a legal representative (parents, guardians, adoptive parents), or by power of attorney.
If the power of attorney is certified by a foreign notary in a foreign language, it must be duly legalized with Apostille, then notary translated into Ukrainian, after that legalized with Apostille once more.
Documents are submitted by appointment only. In case it is impossible to make a prior appointment due to technical reasons, please write to the e-mail: [email protected] with the subject line: [appointment request], indicating possible dates for the visit to the Embassy.
To request a certificate of absence of criminal record, the following documents must be submitted to the Embassy:
The procedure generally takes up to 2 months. Given the introduction of martial law, it is currently impossible to estimate the time of a possible delay in the issuance of the requested documents.
ATTENTION! The certificate of absence of criminal record is issued in Ukrainian! To submit the relevant certificate to the competent authorities of the United States, the accuracy of the translation of the Certificate from Ukrainian into English can be certified by a notary in the United States.
