Students and post-graduates of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute will write articles to the Ukrainian chapter of free on-line encyclopedia ‘Wikipedia’. In order to optimize this work representatives of ‘Wikimedia Ukraine’ will give some trainings on editing process in ‘Wikipedia’ for the students and teachers of the university. It is expected that the format of activity might both increase students’ motivation as their future articles will be read all over the world, and help teachers to assess the level of students’ critical thinking in a better way. Also, last April Ukrainian ‘Wikipedia’ hit the TOP-20 most attended pages in the world (among national ‘Wikipedia’), its result reached 50,7 million viewed pages.
