On March 15, 2013, Bruce-Monroe Elementary School of Washington, DC, conducted a lesson dedicated to Ukraine.
Mr. Stanislav Yezhov, Counselor of the Embassy, told the kids about Kyiv’s attractions and Ukrainian Easter traditions. The students demonstrated pysankas (Easter eggs) they created using traditional Ukrainian techniques.
The lesson included screening of a Ukrainian cartoon.
The cooperation of the Embassy with Bruce-Monroe school takes place in the framework of program of cooperation implemented together with District of Columbia Public Schools.
