On May 8, 2013, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE Leonid Kozhara met in the U.S. Senate with Chairman of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission), Senator Benjamin Cardin.

The parties focused on progress in implementation of Ukraine’s OSCE Chairmanship priorities, including resolution of the protracted conflicts, prevention of environmental footprint of energy-related activities, fighting against trafficking in persons, fostering freedom of media within the OSCE area, etc.
