On May 16, 2013, Bruce-Monroe school of Washington, DC, hosted a history lesson dedicated to Victory in Europe Day.
Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S. Stanislav Yezhov told the kids about liberation of Europe from Nazism, sacrifices made by the Ukrainian people, and cooperation among the Allies during WWII. The pupils also watched a documentary on liberation of Ukraine.
The cooperation of the Embassy with Bruce-Monroe school takes place in the framework of program of cooperation implemented together with District of Columbia Public Schools.
