Ukrainian participants of the Open World Program visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C., on May 31, 2013.
The Embassy welcomed over 60 participants, representing local self-governments, NGOs and educational institutions from Ukraine. During their stay in America, Ukrainian visitors will make study visits to U.S. regions.
They were welcomed by Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Olexander Motsyk, who told them about the present state and prospects of development of Ukraine-US relations.
Since 1999, the Open World Program has provided opportunities for participants from ex-Soviet countries to acquaint themselves with American model of governance and establish contacts with US counterparts.
