American company «DuPont Pioneer» opened a seed production facility in Ukraine

The opening of a new seed production facility of the American company «DuPont Pioneer» - «Stasi Seeds Pioneer Hi-Bred» took place on June 11, 2013 in the village of Stasi, Dykanka district, Poltava Oblast, Ukraine.
The new plant will be among biggest seeds production facilities in the country.
Minister for Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk and Executive Vice-President of «DuPont Pioneer» James Borel took part in the welcome ceremony.
The gross volume of the American investments in a new production facility reached 41.5 million USD. The plant will be able to yearly supply the market of Ukraine and other countries with 5000 tons of corn seeds and 2000 tons of sunflower seeds.
The implementation of this investment project once again proves favorable conditions for investments into the agrarian sector of our country and substantial potential of the agricultural business in Ukraine. Successful launch of the seeds production will strengthen Ukraine’s position on the world agrarian market and provide significant impetus to the advanced technology agrarian production in Ukraine.
