Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. met with Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania

On October 8, 2013, Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with the Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Ambassador Vaidotas Verba. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Lithuania to the U.S. Žygimantas Pavilionis.
During the meeting, O.Motsyk informed the Lithuanian side of the steps taken by the Ukrainian Government to ensure the signing the Association and Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and the EU during the Eastern Partnership Summit that will take place this November in Vilnius, Lithuania.
V.Verba informed of the progress regarding the preparation for the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit, as well as measures of the EU Lithuanian presidency aimed at ensuring the success of the Summit.
In this context, both sides emphasized that the signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU will be a formula to success of the Vilnius Summit.
