On November 1, 2013, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA hosted a presentation of “The Next Generation in Russia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan: Youth, Politics, Identity, and Change” book by Nadia M. Diuk, the Vice President, Programs, Africa, Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean at the National Endowment for Democracy.
The presentation was supported by the Washington Group Cultural Fund and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council.
The presentation was attended by press, scholars and members of Ukrainian American Diaspora.
In her speech, Nadia Diuk told about her almost 10-year work on the book, methodology of research, basic conclusions and changes that took place in the consciousness of young Ukrainians, Russians and Azerbaijanis in the last decade.
The presentation included a lively discussion of political situation in the post-Soviet space and youth influence on the governance systems of ex-Soviet republics.
