Leading U.S. company “Cargill” bought 5 percent stake in the Ukrainian agriculture holding “Ukrlandfarming” for $200 mln.

One of the biggest American private corporation “Cargill” reached a deal at the end of 2013 with the largest land holding in Ukraine “Ukrlandfarming” to purchase 5% stake of the Ukrainian company for $200 mln.
This transaction of the “Cargill” that successfully implements projects in Ukraine for more than 20 years in production, logistics, processing, and selling of agricultural commodities, as well as fertilizers and seeds, proves increasing interest among foreign companies towards agriculture of our country.
Cooperation with «Cargill» will further enhance export capabilities, in particular in Asia, of the “Ukrlandfarming” that implements a number of projects in production of grains, eggs and eggs products, sugar, cattle breeding, distribution of agrarian equipment, fertilizers and seeds.
