On January 22, 2014 Ukraine International Airlines, with the support of the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York, Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S. and U.S. – Ukraine Business Council, delivered a presentation of the New York (John Kennedy International Airport) – Kiev (Boryspil International Airport) non-stop scheduled service launch.
The event, held at the Ukrainian Institute of America, was attended by diplomats, representatives of the trade and industry associations, business circles, Ukrainian community and civil society organizations, media and diplomats of the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations.
Igor Sybiga, Consul General of Ukraine in New York, greeted the guests with a welcoming speech and an appeal from Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Olexander Motsyk.
The participants stressed the importance of renewing direct flights between New York and Kyiv for further development of effective cooperation between the U.S. and Ukraine in various spheres.
Reference: The first non-stop flight Kyiv (Boryspil International airport) – New York (John Kennedy International Airport) – Kyiv (Boryspil International airport) will be operated on Friday, April 25, 2014.
Starting from June 23, 2014 flights from Kyiv to New York and back to Kyiv will be operated on a daily basis.
Flights will be performed on modern Boeing 767 aircraft with three-class cabin layout – Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.
