On February 25, 2014, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Olexander Motsyk met with Ambassadors of Greece, Poland, Lithuania and Croatia. The main topic of the meetings was a political situation in Ukraine.
The heads of the diplomatic missions of the EU member states were informed about the latest developments in the political life in Ukraine and the progress in the formation of a new technocratic government of national unity, the composition of which will be announced soon.
Ambassador O.Motsyk drew attention of his European colleagues to the importance of further support of political transformation and territorial integrity of Ukraine by the European Union. He stressed that Ukraine returned to the path of European integration and is ready to sign the Association Agreement in the near future.
During the meetings Ambassador O.Motsyk also emphasized the urgent need for the immediate formation of a package of international financial and economic assistance to Ukraine for a long-term recovery of the national economy and strengthening the stability of the State.
In their turn, heads of diplomatic missions of the European countries wished a speedy stabilization of the situation in Ukraine and establishment of effective government of national unity. They welcomed the return of the Ukrainian state to the European integration policy and assured that their countries will provide active support for achievement of democratic and European aspirations of the people of Ukraine.
