At the meeting, while talking to a Reuters journalist, Russian President subtly noted that the skill of making stuff up and evading answers is intrinsic to diplomats. However, we’re military men, and are known to speak and act head-on after diplomats exhaust their arguments.

Proceeding from this, we consider ourselves entitled to accuse the President of the Russian Federation of a barefaced lie. His lie is related to immediate participation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the events that have taken place in the last several days and continue their development today in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

Presently Slavutych and Ternopil naval ships of Ukrainian Navy, which are located immediately in Sevastopol Bay, are blocked by naval vessels and ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation; each of them carries a detachment of marines up to one platoon, armed with automatic weapons and equipped accordingly.

Bearing in mind the remark by Mr. V.V.Putin that such uniform and equipment can be bought in any store, we’d like to avail ourselves of this opportunity and ask about the name of such store; we also wonder where it is possible to buy automatic weapons, pistols and grenade launchers in violation of Ukrainian laws. Besides, we want to remind that not a single unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in Crimea has surrendered a span of territory of their garrisons and their weapons, especially in claimed numbers; they remain loyal to the feeling of duty and military oath to THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE.

Answering all the insinuations and dirty torrents of deceitful information from corrupt politicos and journalists corrupted by them, we: officers, midshipmen, petty officers and seamen of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declare openly that we shall honestly carry out our duties till the end, defending our country and the people of Ukraine, as we have done that during all the years of independence, not because of positions and salaries, but because this is our land and we treasure the life of any human being living on this land irrespectively of his nationality.
