On the eve of celebration of the 200th anniversary of outstanding Ukrainian poet, painter and public figure Taras Shevchenko, the staff of Ukrainian Embassy to the USA, led by Ambassador Olexander Motsyk, laid flowers to his monument in Washington DC.

Several events dedicated to Taras Shevchenko memory will take place under the auspices of the Embassy, involving Ukrainian diaspora and American friends of Ukraine.
