Ukraine declares its non-recognition and condemnation of the decisions by the State Duma and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which, accordingly, on March 20 and March 21, 2014, approved draft Law on the Ratification of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea on the Admission of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and Creation of New Subjects in the Composition of the Russian Federation and draft Law on the Admission of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and Creation of New Subjects in the Composition of the Russian Federation – the Republic of Crimea and the City of Federal Significance Sevastopol.
Ukraine reaffirms its non-recognition of the so-called Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea on the Admission of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and Creation of New Subjects in the Composition of the Russian Federation dated March 18, 2014, and considers further steps of Russia to enter it into force null and void.
Ukraine underlines that the said actions of Russia do not comply with basic principles of international law regarding guarantees of territorial integrity and inviolability of borders, and represent further actions to annex a part of the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
