During the meeting the Ambassador informed about recent developments in Ukraine, peace plan of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, implementation of reforms, anticipated signing of the economic part of the Association Agreement with the EU on June 27, 2014. The Ambassador also emphasized the necessity of further support from the United States and the EU in countering Russia’s aggression and propaganda.

In her turn, Congresswoman Kaptur noted Ukraine’s potential as one of the greatest in the region, expressed her support for our state and strong belief in Ukraine’s ability to successfully pass through these challenging times and to build a better European future.
