U.S. Army War College students visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, DC

On June 24, 2014, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk and Major General Sergiy Pasichnyk, Defense Attaché, met with group of students from U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, PA. Ukraine’s Embassy DCM Yaroslav Brisiuck and Acting Head of the Economic Office Ihor Baranetskyi were also in attendance. 

During the meeting the students were informed about recent developments in Ukraine, Peace Plan of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, implementation of reforms, anticipated signing of the economic part of the Association Agreement with the EU on June 27, 2014, security situation in Ukraine under the aggression of the Russian Federation. Also, the Ukrainian side stressed the need for further support from the United States and the EU in countering Russia’s aggression.

U.S. Army War College students extended their appreciation to the Embassy staff for hosting this event.
