President of Ukraine held consultations with Vice President of the USA Joseph Biden.
Petro Poroshenko and Joseph Biden discussed situation with violation of the international law on behalf of Russia which sent its "humanitarian" convoy to Luhansk. The President expressed gratitude to the USA for its reaction and support of Ukraine's position in the course of the yesterday's meeting of the UN Security Council. The parties agreed to coordinate their actions to further react on challenges and threats caused by the actions of Russia.
The U.S. Vice President informed the Ukrainian President on the readiness of the USA to take part in the conference of donors and investors for Ukraine that will be held in autumn in Kyiv. He also informed on the opportunity of increasing macroeconomic assistance to Ukraine on behalf of the USA and on the readiness to support the position of Ukraine at the meeting of the Executive Council of the IMF of August 29 aimed at allocating the second tranche under the program Stand-By.
Joe Biden congratulated Petro Poroshenko on the Day of the Flag and the Independence Day. Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude noting that it was also a special day for his elections, for Delaver district exactly has a huge amount of Ukrainian diaspora representatives.
