The 400th Anniversary of Kyiv Mohyla Academy Celebrated in the U.S.

On September 16, 2014, the premises of the U.S. Congress housed the Salute to Ukraine Celebration in honor of the 400th Anniversary of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, organized by the Kyiv Mohyla Foundation of America.
Earlier the jubilee was also celebrated in Chicago, Kyiv’s American Sister City.
The guests of the celebration included Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit and Ukraine’s Ambassador to the US Olexander Motsyk, along with Members of Congress, leading representatives of American Ukrainian Diaspora, political and scientific circles, diplomatic corps, and the press.
The program of visit of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine to Washington includes several meetings with representatives of US Government and NGOs dedicated to further development of Ukraine-US cooperation in the spheres of education and science.
