Ukrainian participants of the Open World Program paid a traditional visit to the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C., on October 2, 2014. Representatives of local self-governments, education, medics and legal professionals came to America to learn about operations of U.S. governmental and non-governmental sectors. Following the orientation course in Washington, DC, and familiarization with the U.S. federal government, they will depart to various U.S. cities where they’ll be hosted by local NGO partners.
At the Embassy they were welcomed by Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk.
The Ukrainian Ambassador told the compatriots about the present state of Ukraine-U.S. relations and Embassy’s steps to implement the agreements reached during the recent visits of Ukraine’s President and Prime Minister to the United States.
