On January 21, 2015, Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with the Executive director of the McCain Institute, former U.S. Envoy to NATO Kurt Volker.
During the meeting the American expert was informed on the current situation in our country, escalation of Russian aggression and activation of military action in Donbas.
Ambassador Motsyk thanked K.Volker for U.S. steady support of Ukraine, stressing that today in our country the fate of European values and democracy is decided, which would impact the future of Eastern Europe, in particular Georgia, Moldova and Baltic states.
K.Volker agreed with that and noticed that the West should support Ukraine more significantly.
During the meeting, the reforms, implemented by Ukrainian government in terms of Strategy of steady development of Ukraine till 2020 “Ukraine 2020”, were also discussed.
