Ukrainian delegation participated in the National Prayer Breakfast and Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast

A group of the Ukraine’s Members of Parliament, Patriarch Filaret, the leadership of the National Council of Ukraine on TV and radio broadcasting, top officials of the Kyiv City Council, former members of the Ukrainian parliament, businessmen, civic and religious activists visited Washington, DC, on February 3-6, 2015.
The delegation participated in the annual National Prayer Breakfast attended by U.S. President Barack Obama on February 5. Next day, on February 6, the Ukrainian representatives attended the 10th traditional Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast.
The Ukrainian delegation met with Members of the U.S. Congress, officials of the State Department, Department of Health and Human Services, Broadcasting Board of Governors, Federal Communications Commission. Also, Ukrainian delegates gave a number of interviews for “Voice of America” and other media.
On February 5, a press-conference in support of Ukraine took place in the U.S. Congress. A number of visiting Ukraine’s Members of Parliament, Patriarch Filaret and co-chairs of the Congressional Ukrainian Caucus Rep. M.Fitzpatrick, S.Levin and M.Kaptur participated in the event.
