On May 20, 2015 Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) marked its 75th Anniversary at the U.S. Capitol Building.
The event was attended by numerous representatives of the American and Canadian Ukrainian diaspora, as well as members of the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Government, representatives of diplomatic corps, think-tanks and NGOs, Ukrainian clergies, Ukrainian and U.S. media.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsia, who represented the Government of Ukraine, read out greetings from Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UCCA.
Congressmen Michael Turner (Republican, Ohio), Robin Kelly (Democrat, Chicago), Brendan Boyle (Democrat, Pennsylvania), Bill Pascrell (Democrat, New Jersey), Paul Tonko (Democrat, New York), as well as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Eric Rubin, Ambassador of Lithuania to the U.S. Zygimantas Pavilionis, former U.S. Ambassadors to Ukraine Roman Popadiuk, John Herbst and William Miller, chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation Lee Edwards e.c. also addressed the audience.
