US House of Representatives has unanimously adopted resolution H.Res.50 condemning imprisonment of Nadiya Savchenko and calling for her release

On September 22, 2015, US House of Representatives unanimously adopted a resolution H.Res.50 "Calling for the release of Ukrainian fighter pilot Nadiya Savchenko, who was captured by Russian forces in Eastern Ukraine and has been held illegally in a Russian prison since July 2014".
The document, co-authored by 36 Congressmen from the Democratic and Republican parties, condemns Russian Federation for the illegal detention of Nadiya Savchenko and calls for her immediate release. The resolution calls for the United States, its European allies and the international community to strongly support efforts to release Nadiya Savchenko and other illegally detained Ukrainian prisoners. The draft resolution was submitted by congressional representatives S.Levin, M.Kaptur, M.Fitzpatrick, M.Quigley and B.Pascrell.
