Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Valeriy Chaly met with Chairman of the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on European integration and Representative of the President of Ukraine on peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Lugansk regions Iryna Herashchenko at the Embassy in Washington, DC.
During the meeting, they discussed in detail the situation in Donbass, including the state of implementation of Minsk Agreement to achieve a peaceful settlement.
Valeriy Chaly and Iryna Herashchenko also decided on coordinating steps aimed at strengthening support for Ukraine by international partners, especially the United States, in countering Russian aggression, resolving humanitarian problems and promoting reforms in Ukraine. At the same time, Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States emphasized the important role of Ukrainian legislators in bilateral dialogue between Ukraine and the United States, particularly on the inter-parliamentary level.
