December 23rd 2015, The U.S. Department of the Treasury introduced additional sanctions

The U.S. Department of the Treasury introduced additional sanctions on 12 individuals (including citizens of Russian Federation, separatists of the so-called DPR and LPR as well as former Yanukovych officials) and 106 entities (including subsidiaries) of Russia, Ukraine and other countries (in particular: entry ban, freeze of assets, and ban on business contacts). New restrictions also include sectoral sanctions in financial sphere and military industry of Russia.
For the first time since the start of the Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine the U.S. introduced sanctions on financial entities, that are located not only on the territory of Russia or occupied Crimea, but on its subsidiaries located in other countries, in particular Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Angola, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Austria and Serbia.
Introduction by the US of the new expanded sanctions on Russia demonstrates firm position of the official Washington regarding support of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
