On March 12, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly visited St. Josaphat’s Catholic Cathedral in the city of Parma where he met with teachers and students of Cleveland School of Ukrainian Studies – Association of Ridna Shkola.
Also, the Ambassador visited St. Volodymyr’s Orthodox Cathedral where he met with teachers and students of the Taras Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies.
The Ambassador got familiarized with the instruction processes in both schools and had an exchange with teachers and students. He underscored the important role of schools in the preservation of national identity of Ukrainians of Ohio, as well as promotion of their educational, linguistic and cultural interests.
In the context of Taras Shevchenko Days, the Ambassador presented a copy of the ‘Kobzar’ to the Taras Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies.
