Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly had a meeting with Chairwoman of State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee and Vice Chair of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee of the Committee on Appropriations of the U.S. House of Representatives Kay Granger.

The discussion focused on the ways for continued practical support of Ukraine by the United States’ Congress in the context of the ongoing appropriations processes.

Ambassador Chaly thanked Rep. Granger for her steadfast support of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression and emphasized the importance of increased U.S. financial and military and technical assistance to Ukraine. He also invited the Congresswoman to support a number of current legislative initiatives aimed to boost the U.S. aid to Ukraine.

In her turn, the Congresswoman said that support for Ukraine would continue to be a topical issue on the U.S. Congress agenda and in her future activities.
