President of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski honored by this award Valeriy Chaly for outstanding achievements in promoting friendly Ukrainian-Polish relations. Ambassador of Poland Ryszard Schnepf decorated Valeriy Chaly with the above-mentioned award.

In his remarks, Richard Shnepf stressed that Valeriy Chaly is a highly professional diplomat and statesman, taking into account his achievements as the Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine and for strengthening of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland.

Accepting this award Valeriy Chaly thanked Poland for supporting Ukraine in difficult times to counter Russian aggression.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of the representatives of diplomatic corps, accredited to the United States, as well as representatives of the US National Security Council, Ukrainian and Polish diasporas.
