This shipment of U.S. security assistance is considered to be one of the most significant and important ever. The Ukrainian Armed Forces received several dozens of UAVs, which will help to provide for much better efficiency of the Ukrainian troops in countering the violations of the ceasefire.

This is already the second major shipment of the U.S. military assistance to Ukraine over the last month. Earlier this month, on July 2, 2016, the United States delivered to Ukraine 10 AN/TPQ-49 and 4 AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radars.

Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the United States allocated USD 600 mln. in security assistance to Ukraine. For instance, the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act allocates USD 335 mln. for the purposes of strengthening Ukrainian security and defense.
