The 4th anniversary of the creation of the Education Center of the Verkhovna Rada was celebrated in Washington D.C. 

Founded in 2019 with the support of the EU-UNDP Parliamentary Reform Project and the USAID RADA: The Next Generation Program, the Center became a ground-breaking initiative, which raised citizens’ awareness of the principles and functions of the parliament and contributed to the transformation of the VRU into a more transparent, open, accessible and accountable Ukrainian government institution. 

In her opening remarks, Ambassador Oksana Markarova noted that today the Education Center continues to be an important catalyst in the positive changes in our society, contributing to the development of active citizenship and expanding the influence of civil society on the formation and development of parliamentarianism.
