The Ambassador of Ukraine to the US Valeriy Chaly met with Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant. The Chief Executive of the state highlighted that Mississippi has a lot to offer Ukraine as a practical assistance. In particular, state’s dynamic industrial sector can become the basis for new joint projects and ventures, for example, on ammunition production and sea corvette building.
Valeriy Chaly expressed appreciation of the US support to Ukraine. He suggested that Mississippi can consider joining the international program of training Ukrainian military and planned program for Ukrainian maritime state border guards.
The Ambassador of Ukraine asked also to consider the possibility of treating wounded Ukrainian military in Mississippi.
Valeriy Chaly and Phil Bryant noted significant prospects for developing economic cooperation between Ukraine and Mississippi, in particular in agriculture and high tech sector, as well as for establishing ties between Ukrainian and Mississippian universities and joint research activities based at the US high tech scientific facilities.
The discussion of economic cooperation perspectives, launch of possible investment projects and steps to increase trade turnover was continued at Mississippi Development Authority.
