The United States continues to build up pressure on Russia with new sanctions for its violation of international law and fueling the conflict in eastern Ukraine. 11 Russian arms sector entities, 51 Gazprom owned or controlled companies, 18 entities illegally operating in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea as well as so-called “Salvation Committee of Ukraine”, based in Russia, are under strengthened American sanctions. 
On September 7, the United States Department of Commerce adds 81 entities from Russia, Hong Kong, India and Crimea region of Ukraine to the Entity List.
