U.S. continued political and security support of Ukraine was in focus of a meeting of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze and Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly with Senior Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee James Inhofe.
Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze and Valeriy Chaly expressed their appreciation of the efforts of the Senator to facilitate passing by the U.S. Congress of legislative initiatives aimed to increase security assistance of Ukraine by the United States and expressed their hope for his continued proactive position in this regard.
The Vice Prime Minister and Ambassador of Ukraine also asked Senator Inhofe to facilitate the passage by the Senate of the ‘Stability and Democracy for Ukraine Act’.
The Senator, who is a member of the Senate Ukraine Caucus, was briefed on the current situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine’s Donbas and Crimea. In his turn, James Inhofe informed about his intention to visit Ukraine in the near future to reaffirm his support for the Ukrainian people in its struggle against Russian aggression.
