The United States continues to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia in response to its unlawful occupation of Crimea and continued aggression in Ukraine.

The US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on seven Russian individuals and eight entities by adding them to sanctions list and identified two Russian vessels as blocked property. Moreover, 26 subsidiaries of the Russian Agricultural Bank and Russian gas company Novatek have been added to Sectoral Sanctions Identifications List.
This is the clear signal for the Kremlin, that the United States will continue to maintain pressure on Russia by increasing the cost of its occupation of Crimea and by disrupting the activities of those who support the violence and instability in Ukraine.
We are grateful to the United States for this firm position in support of territorial integrity of Ukraine and confident, that joint efforts of international community will contain Russian aggressive behavior.
