Ambassador Valeriy Chaly congratulated the participants on the 25th anniversary of US-Ukraine’s diplomatic relations and called for continuous U.S. support to Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), Center for US-Ukraine Relations and American Foreign Policy Council for organizing an event called to intensify the discussion on Ukraine and its security issues. He also expressed gratitude to the U.S. Congress for the unwavering bipartisan support and to the Ukrainian-American community for tireless efforts in the times of crises.
UCCA President Andriy Futey presented the UCCA “Friend of Ukraine” Award to General Wesley K. Clark and Dr. Philip Karber for their support of the Ukrainian people and, eventually, independent Ukraine.
In his speech General Clark recognized a courage of the Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom and stressed on the important role of Ukraine in the international security. Dr Karber dedicated the award to the young Ukrainian defenders.
