Ambassador of Ukraine to the US Valeriy Chaly stressed the importance of joint action in support of Ukraine by all her friends, such as Lithuania and Canada. He also noted the importance of the mission of Open World delegates, who can see diplomacy in action today, while tomorrow they will deliver their messengers on Ukraine in different parts of the United States, where the delegation will go: California, Iowa, Nebraska Oregon and Washington.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs, former Prime Minister of Lithuania, Advisor to the President of Ukraine Mr. Andrius Kubilius assured of solid support of Ukraine by Lithuanian politicians who are ready to stand for Ukraine in the international arena, particularly in the US. Chairman of the Ukrainian Caucus at the Canadian Parliament Mr. Borys Wrzesnewskyj said that his country was also committed to help Ukraine in meeting challenges of Russian aggression. Head of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ms. Hanna Hopko thanked the Lithuanian and Canadian colleagues and noted that the newly established European interparliamentary coalition to support Ukraine was planning to expand and attract new foreign partners. Head of the Subcommittee on Sustainable Development, Strategy and Investment of the Committee of Ukrainian Parliament on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Security Ms. Nataliya Katser-Buchkovska drew attention to the importance of energy security.
The event was also attended by member of the US Caucus at the Parliament of Ukraine Mr. Mustafa Nayyem, who is in Washington on the agenda of #FreeSentsov, Vice Speaker of Lithuanian Parliament, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee Mr. Gediminas Kirkilas, Deputy Chairman of the European Affairs Committee Mr. Mindaugas Puidokas, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transatlantic relations of the Committee of Foreign Affairs Mr. Zygimantas Pavilionis, HE Ambassador of Lithuania to the U.S. Rolandas Krischiunas, Chief of Voice of America Ukrainian Service Myroslava Gongadze and UNIS Director Michael Sawkiw Jr.
