The blue and yellow wreath laid to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) became a symbol of solidarity of Ukraine with the USA as both nations suffered losses in the WWI and WWII.

Among US servicemen honored at the ANC is US marine of Ukrainian descent Michael Strank who has raised the US flag during the Battle of Iwo Jima and has lost his life two weeks later.
As the Minister noted to media after the ceremony, the USA and Ukraine are now partners as well in counteracting challenges of Russian aggression. After the common victory, we will have new common traditions.
