On August 23, 2012, Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S. held a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the National Flag Day of Ukraine.

The ceremony was opened by Vadym Prystaiko, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine to the U.S. In his welcoming remarks, Mr. V.Prystaiko emphasized significance of national symbols for the statehood of each country. He also briefed on the formation of the state symbols of Ukraine and some commemorative dates associated with the state flag.

Accompanied by the sounds of the Ukraine’s Anthem the national flag was raised over the Embassy of Ukraine in the U.S.

The ceremony was attended by Inter TV crew that shot this grand event.
