Ambassador joined the discussion "Disinformation & Democracy – tracking impact one year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine"
16 March 2023 23:39

The disinformation surrounding russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 marked an escalation in russia’s longstanding information operations against Ukraine and open democracies.
Ambassador Оксана Маркарова  joined U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and Special Envoy and Coordinator of the State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC) James P. Rubin to share Ukraine’s response to this global threat.
The Ambassador underlined that disinformation, propaganda and other malign interferences can penetrate anywhere, but coordinated international response and internationally facilitated resilience will make it impossible to achieve their goal: to get rooted in our societies and attack us and our solidarity from inside.
Thank you Embassy of Denmark in the United States for hosting this important discussion called "Disinformation & Democracy
– tracking impact one year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine" and Senior director of the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) Graham Brookie for excellent job on moderating the panel.
