Oksana Markarova provided the U.S. Senator with the last updates regarding the current situation around Ukraine. Rob Portman underlined that the U.S Senate was deeply concerned regarding the Russia’s recent escalation in Ukraine and assured the Ambassador that the U.S. will continue to stand with Ukraine against Russian aggression.

The sides also discussed the joint efforts on strengthening the U.S. military support to Ukraine as well as consolidating our countries’ cooperation in countering Russia’s cyber threats.

Oksana Markarova emphasized that Ukraine highly values the long-standing bipartisan support of Ukraine in the U.S. Congress.

Ambassador and Senator also discussed the domestic reforms’ agenda in Ukraine and efforts for Euro-Atlantic integration.
