Ukraine must win the war, and we need all the help for that purpose. Beyond the urgent need for support, Ukraine holds significant importance for the global economy and can be key to solving many global problems after reconstruction, investment, and innovative rapid development.
This was the key message shared by Ambassador Oksana Markarova during the panel discussion "The Future of Ukraine’s Economic Recovery" at Brookings.
Before the panel, Penny Pritzker, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery, delivered an inspiring keynote speech outlining the current state and future potential of the Ukrainian economy. We extend our heartfelt thanks to her for her unwavering support and regular visits to Ukraine!
Thank you to Penny Pritzker, Constanze Stelzenmüller (Director of the Center on the United States and Europe and Senior Fellow in Foreign Policy at Brookings), and moderator Ben Harris (Vice President and Director for Economic Studies at Brookings) for facilitating such an engaging and insightful discussion!
This event underscored the importance of ongoing international cooperation to ensure Ukraine's swift economic recovery and to jointly tackle major global challenges.
