On the sidelines of the IMF/WBG Annual Meetings, the Embassy together with the Bank of America gathered stakeholders at “Made in Ukraine” event to celebrate the Ukrainian-American Partnership, hosted by Ukraine House in Washington DC.

“Despite continuous Russian aggression which aims to destroy Ukraine, its economy, energy grid and cause tremendous damage for all Ukrainians, Ukraine has remained a key player and a reliable partner which ensures global food stability and is committed to contribute into global chains of supply”, - Ambassador of Ukraine Oksana Markarova said in her opening remarks.

Ambassador Markarova has thanked the U.S. Administration, Congress and all Americans for unprecedented solidarity with Ukraine and it’s fight for the common cause – freedom, independence and rule-based world order.

The event also included remarks of Minister of finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshnyy, U.S. Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez, President of International for Bank of America Bernard Mensah and President of Ukrainian Food Manufacturers Alliance Ruslana Rymarska.

The speakers highlighted Ukraine ’s spirit of resilience and innovation as well as Ukraine’s role for sustaining of a global stability. They also stressed that the victory of Ukraine is paramount for global economy and stability.

Among the distinguished guests of the event there were EBRD Resident Odile Renaud-Basso, USAID Deputy Administrator Erin McKee, Special Commissioner of the Netherlands for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Erica Schouten, Special Commissioner of France for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Pierre Heilbronn, Chair of the Board of Directors, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Mark Ordan and many other representatives from the US administration, business, media, financial institutions and Ukrainian community.
