The Embassy of Ukraine in the USA  held a reception  on occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine.

More than 500 guests, including representatives of the Congress, the US Administration, in particular, the National Security Council, the State Department, the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Commerce, representatives of the diplomatic corps from more than 50 foreign countries, heads of leading American companies , representatives of the non-state sector, the Ukrainian community and journalists came to join the event in Ukraine House. 

In her remarks Ambassador of Ukraine in the US Oksana Markarova expressed gratitude to the U.S. Administration, the  U.S. Congress and people of America for the unwavering bipartisan support of Ukraine in enhancing its defense capabilities and fight for freedom. 

Greeting remarks to Ukraine were presented by United States Attorney General Merrick Garland, Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser, Acting Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim, Co-Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the US Senate James Risch, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Planning Army Aviation and Air Force Operations of the Committee on the Armed Forces of the US Senate Mark Kelly, USAID Administrator Samantha Power.

It was an honor and pleasure for Ukraine’s Embassy team to have Secretary of the Navy Del Toro, Deputy Secretary of the Navy Meredith Berger, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Geoffrey Pyatt and many others  as the guests of our National Day reception.

At the event guests had the opportunity to enjoy the artworks by Nikita Titov,  the Ukrainian dishes by @RUTA restaurant and 

music performed by @Gerdan band, Maria Bohomolova and national anthems of Ukraine and the USA performed by Yuliya Stupen.

The Embassy is grateful to all our guests for their attendance and strong words of support to Ukraine.
