Ukrainians in Washington D.C., representatives of Embassy of Ukraine in the USA / Посольство України в США, leaders of Ukrainian communities and churches gathered today in front of the White House in the US capital for Rally and parade to celebrate Ukrainian Heritage, Culture, and Liberty.

In her address to participants of the Rally Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Оксана Маркарова said that the fight for our independence and sovereignty continues so much more needs to be done in support of Ukraine. The Ambassador thanked everybody for unity and solidarity with #Ukraine.

During the ceremony the leaders of Ukrainian American organizations of Washington DC, in particular, Nadiya Shaporynska US Ukrainian Activists, Mrs. Nadia McConnell U.S.-Ukraine Foundation, Marina Baydyuk United Help Ukraine, Doug Klain Razom for Ukraine, Michael Sawkiw Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and UNIS delivered their speeches.

The joint prayer for the perished and victory of Ukraine was sent by priests of the Saint Andrews Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of Metropolitan Washington DC ,Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family and @Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church - Holy Trinity.

Participants of the Rally thanked the USA for standing with Ukraine and all the Americans, who had been supporting us in the last 2 years as we continue to defend our statehood.

The event ended with singing of Ukrainian and American anthems and a wonderful concert at Taras Shevchenko Statue.
