On January 31, 2013 Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with President of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) Morgan Williams.
The Ambassador and Mr.Williams discussed a number of pressing issues of cooperation between the Embassy and the USUBC, aimed at further development of Ukrainian-American trade and economic, investment and trans-regional cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the prospects of improving bilateral trade, including growth of Ukrainian exports to the U.S. and attraction of American investments in Ukraine.
Mr.Williams informed of American companies interested in launching new projects or expanding their business in Ukraine, including in the sphere of energy, agriculture and high-tech industry.
The Embassy and the USUBC approved joint action plan for 2013 and it was agreed to carry out a series of joint regional working visits to a number of U.S. states, particularly to Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New-Jersey, North Carolina, California and Washington. These regional visits will include meetings with local officials, American business and Ukrainian community with the purpose of promoting awareness about benefits of investment into Ukrainian economy and establishing new mutually beneficial contacts between Ukrainian and U.S. companies.
