On February 19, 2013 Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with American businessmen – members of the U.S. – Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) including representatives of «Halliburton», «IBM», «Raytheon International», «ExxonMobil», «Shell Oil Company», «Baker McKenzie», «Anheuser-Busch InBev», «DuPont Pioneer», and «CNH». Mr. Morgan Williams, President of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, also took part in the meeting.
In his welcoming remarks O.Motsyk informed of Ukraine’s economic potential, pace of economic reforms and steps taken by the Government to create favorable conditions for doing business in our country and in particular for improving its investment climate.
Special attention was paid to export and investment opportunities of Ukrainian business, infrastructure projects, as well as development of trade and investment relations between Ukraine and USA, including cooperation in energy and agriculture industries.
During the meeting U.S. companies’ representatives discussed their successful experience of doing business in Ukraine, shared the problems they face as well as possible ways to overcome them. Ukraine’s Ambassador assured the U.S. business companies in our country’s commitment to support business and to create favorable conditions for investments. O.Motsyk called upon the U.S. business to expand its presence on the Ukrainian market as well as to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukrainian companies.
The meeting was another important step on the way to further active development of Ukraine-U.S. cooperation in economic and investment spheres.
