Ukrainian participants of the Open World Program visited the Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S., on March 21, 2013.
They were welcomed by Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk, who told them about Ukrainian-American cooperation, as well as about the history of Embassy’s chancellery building, and thanked the organizers for longstanding partnership with our country. His speech was followed by remarks by Ambassador John O’Keefe, Executive Director of Open World Leadership Center.
The participants of the program, representing local councils, NGOs, universities and enterprises from almost all regions of Ukraine, will visit U.S. regions. Since 1999, the Open World Program has provided opportunities for participants from ex-Soviet countries to acquaint themselves with American model of governance and establish contacts with U.S. counterparts.
